Portraiture Photography | Laura Giddings

Portraiture, I have to say, is where feel most comfortable, photography wise. I find it a lot easier to be creative when I am photography a living, breathing subject that I can actually talk to. For these portraits I was taking photos of my friend Laura and there photographs were taken in Treborth which is a wooded area just outside of Bangor next to Menai Bridge. It was my first time to Treborth so I found the experience a bit exciting. I am quite happy with the photographs that I got from this session and so was Laura.

I used a Canon EOS 50D for these photographs and I used a combination of a Canon 50mm f1.8mm lens and a Canon 28mm f1.8mm lens. Both with Circular Polarising Filters on them as I wanted to accentuate the cloud detail from that day.

One of the weddings that I mentioned previously happened on Saturday in Sheerness and I have to say it went brilliantly. It was genuinely fun and there were no incidents. The photographs from that wedding should be going up soon. But for now I thought that I would put up these portraits as I took them some time ago and their appearance on this blog. I have included ten photographs from the shoot on this post, so please enjoy.
