General Photography | Bangor By Day

This is another instalment of the ‘Bangor By…’ series of photoblog posts that I have been placing on here. These photo blog posts are aimed at showing Bangor at different times of the day. This one has been called ‘Bangor By Day’ for obvious reasons. It is also them last of the three post that I have place up so that if you are reading the blog from top to bottom it will appear in some sort of chronological order in correspondence with how a day goes. With the other two posts the photos were taken with different cameras. The first one to be posted [Bangor By night] had photographs taken with a 35mm SLR using black and white film. The second [Bangor By Dusk] contained photos that were taken on my Digital SLR. And continuing along this vein, the photographs that have been placed in the post were taken on my compact digital camera.

The photos in this post as well as being taken on my compact camera [which in my opinion still have a decent quality to it] were also taken yesterday morning as I thought that it was a good time to go out for a walk and see what I could see about. One thing to note is that the front of the lens barrel was broken some time ago and although I superglued it back on all was fine I decided to do it slightly wrong because it created a sort of vignetting effect that you will see in the photos taken at the widest focal length.

On the photograph of the High Street [Stryd Fawr] you will notice that some of the lampposts have trees attached to them. This was in preparation for the carnival that was happening that day. The photograph of the building with the bus outside of it was of the Students Union which is to be torn down soon and so the photo of the window with the writing on it is of messages written by people who used to work there, some having worked there for years.

In this post I have included nine photographs. All of which you’ve probably guess were taken in Bangor. They were also all taken yesterday morning.
